Barack Obama in CVille

Yesterday (Monday October 29th) Presidential hopeful Barack Obama (D) visited Charlottesville, VA to rally his supporters. According to the Daily Progress, about 4,250 people came to the outdoor rally at the Charlottesville Pavilion, and the event raised more than $300,000 for Obama’s campaign. Virginia Governor Tim Kaine introduced Obama to the crowd, and Obama’s speech focused on the war in Iraq and the follies of President Bush.

On September 23 Hillary Clinton came through Charlottesville, and her event only drew 3,000 attendees and raised $100,000 less.
