I’m gonna be a WAHOO

It’s official, I’m gonna be a WAHOO. My acceptance form has been signed, sealed, and delivered, and yesterday I submitted a nonrefundable $250 deposit. What a relief. For those of you who were unaware of my dilemna, I was accepted by the Master of Regional Planning program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Master of Urban and Environmental Planning program at the University of Virginia. The acceptance deadline for both schools was April 15th, and I’ve been mulling over the decision for weeks.

I’ve been a UNC basketball fan all of my life, and the opportunity to go to my “Dream” school was hard to turn down. But in the end, I decided to go to UVA because of the financial package they offered me, the program’s outstanding reputation, and the school’s proximity to my friends and family.

So I guess I’ll have to pick up some pink polo shirts, plaid shorts, and blue and orange striped ties because I’m headed to Charlottesville.

    Congrats!

Though it’s too bad you won’t be blogging about the ‘burg anymore. Who will take your place?

I’ll do my best to keep up with issues dealing with Harrisonburg and JMU, but I imagine that my focus will inevitably turn towards Charlottesville and UVA. I guess I’ll have to start going to cvillenews.com for my daily info.

Maybe I’ll get one of my fifth-year senior friends to take on the blogging load.
